Take the band off of your current bridle and place it flat, on a table, inside up. Measure the inside of the band from end to end to get your browband size.
If you measure the outside of the band, you will end up with a size that is too large.
If you can’t measure your band, use a fabric tape and measure your horse around the forehead, a few inches below the front of the ear, and from the back of the left ear to the back of the right ear (as shown in the example).
Do not rely on manufacturer sizes (warmblood, oversize, full, horse, cob) as there is no industry standard. “Full sized” bridles with browbands can measure any where from 15″ to 16.5″, depending on the manufacturer.
Please note that Mad Mare® will not accept returns for incorrect sizes.
